The Washington Wizards finished up the season on a 6 game winning streak and STILL ended up having the 2nd worst record in the NBA. The only team behind them was the team with the lowest winning percentage in NBA History.
As I wrote a few games ago, people (especially the owner, look for a blog about how great the end of the season was tomorrow) are going to pretend that these 6 games were something to build on. However the realists understand what has happened. They beat teams that had given up.
It is somewhat a positive thing that they kept on fighting, but many of these players were fighting for their NBA careers. I've got John Wall, Kevin Seraphin, Booker, and Nene as the positives on the squad next year. I still don't trust Janet but he will be around. They'll have a top 5 pick too. How are those guys going to put the Wiz out of the bottom 5 next year?
Oh and me as Debbie Downer has some good news! 50% Off Papa John's on Friday!
