The Wizards are building another win streak after taking care of Chicago Saturday night 86-73 winning their fifth straight at the Verizon center and second straight overall.
The Wizards pulled away in the third quarter out scoring the Bulls 23-11. It was also in the third when Carlos Boozer received a flagrant foul for tossing Emeka Okafor to the floor. Oakafor and the Wizards were not intimidated.
As Steve Buckhantz put it the Bulls got "chippy" tonight, most likely a sign of frustration. Chicago did go on a run in the fourth to cut the lead to ten, but that's as close as the Wizards allowed.
John Wall made his second start of the season and continues to play
well returning from injury. Wall had 15 points and 7 assists. If Wall could consistently knock down
the mid range jumper he would be an elite NBA talent, but tonight he did enough.
Nene had a great night on the offensive end of the floor scoring 16 and dishing out one handed dimes with 4 assists. The other Wizards big man Emeka Okafor also had an impressive night, besides shaking of the toss from Carlos Boozer, Okafor had 15 points and 16 rebounds.
Joakim Noah led the Bulls with a near triple double. The former Gator had nine points ten assists and 17 rebounds. "Little Nate" (another Buckhantz quote) Robinson led the Bulls with 19.
The Wizards will get to stay at home and look for revenge on Monday when they host the Kings. Washington will be looking for their third straight win.
