Postgame 7 vs Indiana

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Thursday, November 15, 2007

Got in to DC early for the game Wednesday and went to Potbelly across the street from the arena. The guy in front of me in line was in a wheelchair and looked homeless. However, he ordered several items like 2 soups, 3 salads, shakes, juices, sandwiches, etc. The order was fishy, combined with judging a book by its cover, I thought there would be some problems. And I was right.

When the guy got to the front of the line, his order was $27. 1 Person shouldn't spend $27 at Potbelly in 4 visits, let alone 1. The guy pulls out the Kramer sack, a pillowcase filled with dimes, quarters, nickels, pennies, etc (Nappy Roots?). I see h$7 counted out and not much change left to get to $20 more dollars.

I decided I would be a good citizen and pick up the rest of the tab for the poor old man. However, I did not and decided I would sit down and if he wasn't settled in 5 minutes, I would return to the counter and pay. 10 minutes later, I saw the guy finally go to his table and begin eating his arsenal of food. I'm not sure if he paid for it all. Great ending huh?

The game was fun and Gilbert looked more explosive. Old man who does the sprinkler was back and took home another Dance Off Victory. Also, Ryan Zimmerman was there, and they showed him wearing his fleece vest or whatever UVA people wear. Other than that it was same old same old. Wiz Win.

Not mentioned - Gilbert wired in the money to pay for dudes food, and cautioned him to go to Ollie's Trolley next time.
