With the addition of a 2nd sports talk radio station on Monday, it appears that Wizards coverage will be plentiful...
ESPN 980, after their national morning shows, is already good at talking about the Wizards. Most of the hosts are huge basketball fans, and know a lot about basketball. The Sports Reporters show even has Steve Buckhantz on as a guest host many days. (The best days ever, Buck needs his own radio show)
The new station is looking good for Wizards fans as well. The Junkees in the morning (which is nothing new) are big Wizards fans. They are the only morning option for any Wizards talk (for now). Next will be Mike Wise & Bill Rohland (GMU announcer). Talk about more basketball guys! Wise writes articles for the Post about the Wizards and he definitely knows his stuff. I'm not sure what to expect from the Lavar & Dukes show...
Starting Monday, your chances of hearing talk radio about your favorite team the Wizards will be a little bit higher than usual...and that is a good thing.
