Trevor Booker Loves Cereal, Cereal Company Takes Notice

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Friday, August 1, 2014

A while back, we learned that NBA player Trevor Booker is a cereal eating machine (now the Wizards have DeJuan Blair, who is a Whataburger eating machine). Booker apparently eats up to 3 bowls of the stuff each day, and recently, he has been posting/retweeting a lot of cereal related items, and fans have been sending him the same.

Well cereal company General Mills (Lucky Charms, Cheerios) took notice and sent Booker a gift package with lots of surreal cereal goodies... check out the stuff that was inside.

No Beal, No Problem

The Wizards managed to break a four game losing streak Monday night at the Verizon center beating the L.A. Clippers 98-90.

The Wizards were without Bradley Beal, Trevor Booker and Cartier Martin but for once their opponent may have been even more shorthanded. The Clippers were without stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin making this a very winnable game for Washington who came up just seven points short playing the Clippers in L.A. a few weeks earlier.

The Wizards have struggled finding someone to replace Beal's production in the starting lineup but tonight Garrett Temple did all he could. Temple scored his season high 15 on 7-12 shooting and also contributed on the defensive end blocking 3 shots and snagging three steals.

Temple wasn't the only one picking up Beal's slack though as Martell Webster had another big night from beyond the arc going 5-6 on his way to leading all Wizards with 21 on Monday night. Webster also seemed as if he wanted to be sure to outplay former Wizard all-star Caron Butler.

Butler scored 15 on a tough shooting night in his return to D.C. By far the most impressive Clipper on the night was Jamal Crawford who led all scorers with 28. Crawford will more than likely win the sixth man of the year award and Wizards fans tonight saw firsthand why.

Emeka Okafor had a tough night offensively but still managed to grab 14 rebounds. Nene had 15 points on the night and 7 rebounds. If you could combine Okafor's rebounding skill with Nene's offensive prowess you would have one great big man as both have weaknesses in their game. So when the two play together they compliment each other well.

Ah, Finally John Wall

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Saturday, January 12, 2013

John Wall made his season debut leading a replenished Wizards roster to their sixth win beating Atlanta 93-83 Saturday night in D.C.

It's the wizards first two game win streak of the year.

With Wall and Trevor Booker making their return from injury the Wizards roster was complete for the first time all season and it showed. Washington looked like a different team playing much better than their 6-28 record would suggest.

Wall scored 14 points in 20 minutes off the bench to go along with four assists. The Wizards are going to try to ease Wall back into action but if tonight is any indication, Wall looks like he is already at full speed. It's clear Wall gives this Wizards team another gear on offense.

Rookie Bradly Beal had another good game coming off his first career game winning shot Monday night against the Thunder. Beal had 16 points, three steals and four rebounds. Beal also seems to have his confidence at an all time high and rightfully so, the 19 year old has proved he can be a consistent scorer without John Wall, no he can really start to progress.

Martell Webster also continued his strong play scoring 15. A.J. Price was tied with Bradley Beal for leading the team in scoring with 16.

Jordan Crawford became the leading scorer in John Wall's absence but did not play tonight. Crawford is coming of a sprained ankle but it's hard to imagine where he will fit into Randy Wittman's offense now that he isn't the only scoring option.

It's clear John Wall could help turn the Wizards season around. Playoffs are still out of the question but with Wall, Nene and Booker all healthy for the first time, a lengthy win streak is not out of the question.
