Deshawn Part VI: You Can't See Me

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Friday, July 20, 2007

In honor of Deshawn Stevenson being re-signed for too much money, I feel it is only right to take a look back at some of the great DeShawn Stevenson moments of all time

I really hated Deshawn when he joined the Wizards. I hated his hair and his style of play. ("who is that guy with the hair" non die hards would say in the stands) I especially hated his go-to move, the long baseline fadaway forced not-within-the-offense shot that he made about 10% of the time.

It seems like it takes the new players Caron & Deshawn, some time to get used to the offense and to feel comfortable in it. Thats why the Wizards start off the season so poorly each year. Thats what they wanted to re-sign Deshawn.

But after a while Deshawn got his hair cut and got into the flow of the offense. He actually, swear to God, took it to the basket and dunked on some people. (Check out the first highlight section) (this was better than his slam dunk contest dunks)

And at some point in the season, his move that I used to hate, started to be cool...

I was at my dentist in DC and he was filling one of my cavities. The dentist put way too much novacane in my cheek, and I was loosing a lot of feeling in my head. I had a strange look , so the dentist asked me what was wrong. I tried to speak but my mouth was numb. So I put my hand up to my face and waved it back and forth a few times. The dentist only replied, "you aren't supposed to"

I can't feel my face...

a move stolen from some rapper, and known by many from WWE champion John Cena (who calls it "You can't see me") This move changed Deshawn from an average basketball player to a player that the fans could love. The Wiz were on a roll. Deshawn had a bunch of shirts made up and it was the hot item in DC. (I wanted one DC Sports Bog!) He was on top of the world, and he could not feel his face...See The Shirt Here!

please check your usage of "loosing" vs "losing"

loosing = loose
losing = lose
