Friday: Preseason: Philadlephia 76ers @ Washington Wizards (7pm)
The Washington Wizards will have their first of two preseason games (both against the Sixers) on Friday night at Verizon Center. This will be the first chance to see rookies Shelvin Mack, Jan Vesely, and Chris Singleton against another NBA team, as well as a chance to see Ronny Turiaf play for the first time in a Wizards uniform.
With the 66 game season, a handful of new players, and only a week of practices, this looks to be a sloppy game.
Former Wizards coach Doug Collins will come to DC with a healthy, fresh, & motivated Andre Iguodala who, according to the Philly Inquirer has been "the best player on the court - by a wide margin" during training camp.
The Wizards will be without (former) starting shooting guard Nick Young (may be 3rd string now), who continues to wait for another team to make him a contract offer so he can re-sign with the Wizards for more money. Josh Howard will also be gone, now on the Jazz. Mo Evans just signed back with the Wiz, not sure if he will make the game.
See you Friday night at the VC...
