The Jazz hung on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City to hand the Wizards their 31st loss of the season 92-88.
The Wizards trailed by 22 in the first half and entered the fourth quarter down 15. A road weary Washington squad could have easily given up but the Wizards continued to battle and cut the lead to just two with a few minutes to go in the fourth.
The Jazz, now winners of 8 of their last ten, took a six point lead with 20 seconds left when Paul Millsap hit a baseline jumper, making it 90-84. Millsap led Utah in points with 16 and rebounds with 15 he was one of six players in double digits for the Jazz.
Washington finishes their current western road trip 2-3 and 5-3 in their last 8 overall. Wizard fans have got to be happy with their team's higher level of play since John Wall's return
Martell Webster led the Wizards in scoring Wednesday night with 15 shooting 3-4 from three point land. Webster also led the team in minutes with 34 and continues to be a consistent scoring option since John Wall's return.
Wall had 14 points and eight assists in 27 minutes off the bench. It shouldn't be long now before Wall is in the starting lineup.
Once again Emeka Okafor had was a man in the post. Okafor scored just six points but managed to snag 17 rebounds. Okafor may never have a great offensive game but he does so much for the team in the paint and on the defensive end that his significance cannot be overstated.
The Wizards now return home to welcome Minnesota to the Verizon center Friday night.

Calico & Blocks Musical Pregame: Jazz @ Wizards
Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Friday, November 16, 2012

The last thing I think of when I think of Utah is rappers. I was ready to somehow throw in some DJ Jazzy Jeff in there...ug....However, I was shocked to find that they exist, and they are making music in Salt Lake City. Is the nickname for that place really "The Lake"?
"I am from the Lake, I am from the Lake!"
So who are these guys? It's Calico and Blocks representing from the 801 to the 435. You can check out their music on ... MySpace ... Or check out this video for their song "Wait":
I kinda like it, and I like that they throw actually street corners and addresses into their songs. One of their videos they are wearing some Yellow Utah Jazz gear, so bam...perfect for this matchup.
Their song Wait gave me the idea to think about some of the Wait, What? bits from Norm MacDonald's Sports Show that was awesome but cancelled.
- Wait, Bradley Beal is shooting better from the 3 point line (33%) than from the field? (32%)
- Wait, John Vesely has 7 fouls and 0 points in 31 minutes of play?
- Wait, nobody on the Wizards is scoring over 12 points per game?
- Wait, the Jazz have won 4 games? That doesn't bode well.
- Wait, Mo Williams is the leading scorer on the Jazz? (16.5ppg)
- Wait, Randy Foye is on the Jazz now?
- Wait, the Jazz were a playoff team last year?
