There Is No Such Thing as Plagiarism

I know this is random, but I just want to clear this up for people out there.

There are these things called plagiarists, but there is no such thing as a plagiarist. I have never seen a real plagiarist.

I know you’re making a weird face as you’re reading this. OK people, plagiarism is not what we see on TV and what people portray it as.

We’re bloggers. We live in our parent's basements.

Plagiarists live in their own place.

So if you’re writing a blog and someone has already written it, that’s called trespassing. That is called trespassing. That is not plagiarism.

Plagiarism is if you’re chilling in your parents basement, sitting on your couch, and a stand up comic comes in and writes your blog, typing exactly what their routine is; now that’s plagiarism.

Now, if you’re just writing other peoples material in a blog, that is called invasion of space. So I have never heard of plagiarism.

When I see on the DC Sports Bog where it’s like, “Gilbert's A Plagiarist,” I’m like, “Hey, for real?! I'm just blogging around? Bloggers are leaving their parents basements now? We live down there, we don't live in our own places.

Plagiarism is a hard word to spell...
