Its Friday, a good day to see what wacky things the former Washington Wizards guard and unemployed yet highly paid NBA player is doing. Well Agent Zero was fishing with his family the other day in Orlando and somehow, because Gilbert, he caught a bird while deep sea fishing. And thanks to Instagram, we can all watch what looks to be a terrible day for a big bird with the narrations of Gil.

Are you serious bro!?  Gilbert instagrammed this picture of his money & chips on the table at a casino.  The rest of Gilbert's Insta involves terrible memes, videos of him hitting jump shots in a gym, and admissions of him breaking the law.  Woo ha, maybe if his house sells (recently lowered to under $3 Million) he can put it all on black.

Gilbert Arenas Gives Life-Changing Advice On Instagram

Everyone's favorite gunslinger and shoe ruiner is now back on social media in the form of Instagram (or Insta as the kids call it) and it is Awesome. Agent Zero joined Instagram this weekend and if you were a fan of Gil's old blog or were riveted by his 2 day post-gun incident Twitter binge you will not be disappointed with his latest appearance online.

You won't believe what Gilbert has to offer in terms of Law-Breaking, Driver Safety, Parental Advice, Financial Responsibility, and even Dating Advice...It is hilarious/disturbing...

"Who is Gilbert Arenas?"

That was a question several people in Washington DC were asking on the day the Washington Wizards signed the former Golden State Warrior.  Arenas had just won the most improved player award but he was a relatively unknown player, specifically to the east coast.  In 2003 he was heading into his 3rd NBA season, under the radar.

"Who is John Wall?"

That was a question several people asked when Wall was a top high school recruit in 2009.  When he hadn't won a single college basketball game let alone even been on campus for 1 day.  After that season, Wall was headed to Kentucky to be a part of a college Dream Team.  As soon as he played for Kentucky, the few basketball-heads who didn't read about that year's recruit class now knew who he was.  Above the radar, the moon.

In the offseason before Gilbert Arenas' third NBA season, he was flipping a coin and signing a contract with the Washington Wizards, coming off of a great year where he won the NBA's most improved player award.  Arenas spent that summer hanging out at home playing video games, and going to the gym at 4am to shoot hundreds of jumpers.

In the offseason before John Wall's third NBA season, his potential to improve is coming into question and he is coming off a season where statistically he didn't improve one bit.  John Wall is spending his summer hanging out with guys like Ludacris, Kevin Hart, and Floyd Mayweather.  (and presumably also shooting hundreds of jumpers).

How hard does each guy have to work?  Nobody knew Gilbert's name.  He had to die to become known.  He earned his fame.  John Wall is already known.  What does a guy have to work for if he is already living the life of the rich and famous?

That is what makes 2012-13 a make or break year for John Wall.  This is the year he has to shut people up who are writing about his offseason life.  This is the year he has to make the most famous thing about him his basketball skill, not his dancing skill.  This is the year he has to improve statistically as well as mature as a leader.  He has to prove that he has something to work for and that he isn't going to accept his life as a superstar.  (Kim Kardashian is famous too and she never did anything).

In 2011-12 Wall's points per game (16.3) were down by a tenth of a point, and his turnovers (3.9) up by the same margin.  He had less rebounds (4.5), less steals (1.4) and less assists (8.0) as well. (also by a very small margin).  Wall's 3 point shooting was atrocious (7%) but his overall field goal percentage went up a tad (42%).

That is unacceptable for a #1 pick.  Young players should be improving.  For example, Gilbert Arenas' scoring for the first years of his career gradually improved from 10.9ppg to 29.3ppg in just 5 seasons.

This year is John Wall's for the taking.  If it is another year of the same stuff, then the Wizards organization will have to ask themselves if they chose the right guy to build the team around.  The organization, his coaches, his teammates, and most fans believe in him.  Hopefully he can believe in himself just as much.

Orlando Gets Rid Of Their Best Player!

Gilbert Arenas has been waived by the Magic via the Amnesty Clause. The Magic will end up saving 60 Million off of the cap and taxes. Gilbert will go on the waiver wire and teams that are under the salary cap will have first dibs to pick him up. If none of them want him, another team can pick him up. Either way the new team will have to pay some portion of the salary. If Gilbert doesn't get picked up, the Magic will be stuck with paying him the full figure of the contract.

Will anyone pick up Arenas? It may depend on what % of the salary they have to pick up, but Arenas is far past his prime. He is also a little nuts so a team would have to deal with that. I think he could come back on a terrible team and score some points, or go to a contender and play a few minutes per game. I'd rather he have a chance to play more minutes, but I'm not sure he wants to.

As always I think the Wizards should pick him up, and he will come in and return to 30ppg!!!!!!!!!!!

Over on the Bog, Steinberg talked to Andray Blatche about Summer League.

"Gilbert gave me a call and said he was gonna participate in it," Blatche said. "He said it would be good for us, so we can get an early head start on the offense."--Sports Bog

Blatche went on to say that it's Gilbert so it may or may not happen.

Is this Gilbert Arenas starting to be Gilbert again with some random wild card comment? Is it Gilbert messing with Blatche? Is it Blatche misunderstanding Gilbert's definition of participation? One thing is for sure, tomorrow this rumor will be all over the internet.

So would Gil playing in the Summer League be a good thing? While it would be fun to watch, and would give some instant pleasure in a boring sports summer, if he got hurt...not good.

We Are The Knights Who Don't Say Knee

Last time I checked, Gilbert Arenas did not miss most of the last 2 seasons because of a weight problem. He was not obese, overweight, or even getting chubby.

So why is it that every time someone is asked "How does Gilbert look on the court" the response is always "He lost 20 pounds".

Gilbert lost the weight to help his knee. Less weight means less pressure on his knee. This is all perfectly understandable. But the weight is not the problem. It is one part of the solution.

That is like asking someone sad how they feel, and them responding with "I'm seeing a therapist". That wasn't the question. The question was "How do you feel."

There is a lot of beating around the bush. Talk about Tim Grover & weight and no talk about the knee. Let's ignore the knee. Let's not mention the knee. I don't even know what a knee is!

Kornheiser: "Trade Gilbert Arenas" Again

Tony Kornheiser was on ESPN 980's Locker Room and was asked about the Wizards.

Tony was asked what the Wiz should do with the #5 pick and his response was "Trade Gilbert Arenas"

He answered all of the questions with leading questions but to sum it up, Kornheiser thinks its stupid to pay a guy who hasn't done anything in the last 3 years, and thinks it was "the wrong move" to fire Eddie Jordan. He thinks the Wiz went too old with Jamison and the rest of the team is "like 17 years old" and too young.

After getting over the Wizards stink talk, he went on to kind of answer the original question. He thinks the Wiz need a shooting guard and that Stephen Curry is the best shooting guard in the draft, although would give them a 0 defense backcourt.

Its hard not to agree a little with Kornheisers negative view, the Wiz do stink...

Gilbert Arenas, Chris Brown, & Rhianna

Gilbert Arenas was at game 4 of the Finals last Thursday night, and the Washington Times' Mike Jones ran into him for a few questions.

During the interview Arenas had words with several big stars like Tiger Woods, Lil' Wayne, Rihanna, & Chris Brown.

Arenas is training hard with MJ's old trainer, and he better. If he has another injury this year, then there will be a different interview during the 2010 Finals.

"I interviewed Gilbert Arenas in the 400 level, but was interrupted several times during our discussion. Ushers wanting to see his ticket stub, and a couple wanting him to take their photo with the court in the background. To get away from the interruptions, we moved higher up to the top row. Still, we couldn't get away from it, this time some more famous interruptions. Paulie Shore came by and asked Gilbert who he was. A few minutes later Eric Estrada tapped Gilbert and told him that he was in his seat."

Gotcha! Gilbert Arenas Edition

This is the new game for the super awesome video game system called the Nintendo Entertainment System. It has sweet 8 bit graphics and even comes with an orange gun that you can shoot the TV with to play.

Play as rogue paintball warrior Gilbert Arenas as he tries to defend his homeland. Encounter enemies like real NBA Rookies Dominic McGuire and Nick Young. If you have the shooting skills necessary to paint them up you will be set up for a final showdown vs the Cleveland Paint Ball Team and boss of the game King James.

Gilbert Arenas T-Shirt Contest

The Wizards are playing the Boston Celtics in what is the Celtics home opener on November 2nd. Celtics Blog Red's Army is trying to come up with a t-shirt to wear to the game.

Regular readers know I think Gilbert Arenas is a first rate ass clown. I don’t think I’m alone. The Celtics open the season on November 2 at home against Washington, and we want to offer you guys some sort of TShirt to wear at the game. Problem is… we’ve got no ideas.

They basically are looking for some kind of shirt that says Gilbert sucks, but obviously much better than that.

I think this is a great idea. I don't care that they hate Gilbert Arenas. I personally would like to come up with some kind of shirt when Lebron James comes to town.

A heckling shirt needs to be very clever, have no bad language, and not be completely tasteless. Not "your mom blah blah" If it isn't done right it just makes people wearing it look dumb. If they pull it off, it will get the attention of the cameras and hopefully Gilbert himself.

Mr. Arenas is my father's name...

The Wall Street Journal had a great article about Gilbert's...I mean Mr. Arenas' blog and how it helps and hurts the companies for which he is a spokesman. According to the article, (Read it NOW!) Adidas was surprised when they read his blog and it said he hated the original design of his shoe.

Last month executives at shoemaker Adidas AG got a shock when they read the latest blog entry from their star endorser, pro basketball player Gilbert Arenas. He had seen the design of his second Adidas signature shoe -- which had yet to be revealed to the public -- and he wasn't impressed.

That means Gilbert knew what he was doing and used his blog for leverage to get what he wanted from Adidas. Awesome. Stick it to the man!

Sidenote: Wow, the Wall Street Journal is so business-professional. They use "Mr." in front of everyone's name. I really am so impressed!
