Andray Blatche Does Some Andray Blatche Stuff In Return To Verizon

Andray Blatche returned to the Verizon Center for the second time of the season on Friday night, and didn't quite have the game he had the time before.  Andray missed several free throws, attempted and missed dunks & layups, and heard very audible chants of "Blatche You Suck" vibrating out of the stands at Verizon.

Blatche couldn't believe he was bricking the shots, although he did end up sinking one at the end of the game to prevent the Verizon crowd from winning a free chicken sandwich.  He finished with 5 points on 2-9 from the field and 1-6 from the free throw line.

Jordan Crawford Jordan Crawfords

Here is another reason why Jordan Crawford should be no part of the future plans for the Washington Wizards.  Earlier in the game he was mad his teammates didn't pass him the ball so he jacked up a bad shot.  And later, this happened:

Crawford is double teamed with the shot clock running down but believes that this is his cue to somehow break the trap instead of passing.  He then takes a diving 3 pointer.  Just watch:

Jordan Crawford Does The Most Jordan Crawford Thing Ever

Here is Jordan Crawford shooting a wacky airball on an 8 foot "shot", catching the ball in the air, and scoring the basket on the self-alleyoop in Wednesday night's game against the Indiana Pacers.  You have to watch it below.  It was the most Jordan Crawford play ever.  Mostly because it was an airball travelling and didn't count.  Pure Steez.

Steve Buckhantz has a wonderful reaction to the play.

Steve Buckhantz:  "If anyone is allowed to do that it is Jordan Crawford"

Phil Chenier (actually puzzled): "Why is that"

Steve Buckhantz: "Because he is a circus player and he made another circus shot"

Later in the game, Buck repeated that the refs "took away a basket" from Crawford...lol.

Pacer Misses Dunk Badly, Crashes To Floor

Here is, shockingly, not the Washington Wizards missing a dunk attempt and falling on the ground!  It is Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers, and he may have been pushed a bit.  He gets rejected by the rim and almost hurts himself:  GIF:

Wizards Run An Actual Basketball Play, Nene Dunks

Here is something amazing.  The Wizards ran a pick and roll and it led to a dunk.   Now keep in mind the Knicks played it terribly, but still.  Typically I'm posting "highlights" like airball layups, or botched fast breaks, or shot attempts from behind the backboard:

Honestly, that is the worst position to have the ball and leave your feet... name somewhere worse.

Wizards Lone All-Star Active Shows Why Wizards Suck

Here is Emeka Okafor.  Emeka is getting payed a billion dollars to play on the Wizards for the downward slope of his career.  The following play by Emeka is a perfect representation of Washington Wizards basketball.

Emeka goes up to fight for the rebound with a player on the Bobcats.  He can't grab hold of the ball and the Bobcats player gets it.  Instead of running back on D, Okafor stares at his hands as if he is discovering he has them for the first time.  This gives the Bobcats player the extra second he needs to get out on the break.

Okafor can be seen jogging slowly and with no purpose next to the Bobcats player with the ball.  He looks like he just wants a little leisurely jog back and wants nothing to do with stopping the play.  GIF after the jump:

Wiz Force Overtime But Can't Top Celtics

Chris Singleton slammed a dunk over Kevin Garnett who was moving out of the way, tying the game with 9 seconds left eventually sending the game to overtime.  However, the Wizards couldn't pull off the win after not being able to get off many good shots in the extra period.

The Wizards started the game much like that have in the past, down 11-2 with only a few minutes past. However the Wiz kept it close for most of the game, and after the Celtics began to pull away in the 4th quarter, the Wizards stepped up to send the game to OT.

It was a miracle that the Wizards even made it to the overtime after several bad turnovers in the final 4 minutes.  The Celtics were abusing Kevin Seraphin who turned it over 3 times in the final few minutes.

Chris Singleton turned out to be a huge spark for the Wizards in the 4th quarter.  With his teammates standing around and jacking up jumpers, Singleton drove to the hoop scoring several layups and pushed the team forward with his hustle that culminated with a slam dunk to tie the game with 9 seconds left.  He finished the 4th quarter with 12 points in the period.

The Wizards offense outside of Singleton and Kevin Seraphin (16 pts, 9 reb) was firing up jump shots with plenty of time on the shot clock.  The lack of driving to the hoop left the Wizards with 0 free throw attempts almost halfway into the 3rd quarter.  The Wiz attempted 7 foul shots in the game, the Celtics 34.

AJ Price and Janero Pargo are not starting (or backup) caliber NBA point guards.  They both were turnover machines and each took their share of OMG jump shots.  Plus look at this awful play by AJ Price.  (Price did finish with 15 points, but lots of random shots)

Brad Beal finally showed some shot-making ability (and not really any other aspects of his game) finishing with 16 points on 6-15 shooting (after starting 2-11).

Seraphin and Price combined for 12 turnovers (6 each)

Next up the Wiz get the Bucks on Friday night at Verizon...
