John Wall Showing Us How He Shot A Reverse Layup

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Tuesday, April 2, 2013

As you know, we are all about getting all the stats and analysis you need from the DC Sports teams.  Just kidding, here is John Wall doing some hand motion thing, talking to himself about how he should have shot he previous missed layup:

Crazy OKC Thunder Fan Not Impressed With John Wall

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Check out this Oklahoma City Thunder fan who was screaming at John Wall very audibly on the broadcast while Wall was at the free throw line.  Wall sank both foul shots and as you can see, this guy was not impressed:

Here's a fun play from John Wall from Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers:

Brad Beal Does A Flip Lands On His Head, Returns To Game

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Friday, February 22, 2013

On Thursday, Bradley Beal collided with teammate Cartier Martin in practice, causing Beal to chip his teeth.  On Friday Beal was playing hard and taking some pain again.

On this scary play from Friday night's Wizards victory over the Denver Nuggets Brad Beal jumps up for a block, gets hit in the leg, and then topples over landing directly on his head.  Beal was on the floor for a minute or so, walked to the bench, and a minute later he was back on the floor.

Chris Miller from Comcast Sports spoke to Beal about the fall following the game.  Beal's quote:

"I was tryin' to block the shot, Ty Lawson ended up headfaking...it was just one of those things, he really  couldn't move so I really can't be mad at him.  It was just a bad fall, I ended up falling on my head and everything"

Beal ended with "Go Hard or Go Home!"  Agreed.

Andray Blatche Does Some Andray Blatche Stuff In Return To Verizon

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Friday, February 8, 2013

Andray Blatche returned to the Verizon Center for the second time of the season on Friday night, and didn't quite have the game he had the time before.  Andray missed several free throws, attempted and missed dunks & layups, and heard very audible chants of "Blatche You Suck" vibrating out of the stands at Verizon.

Top right is 5 bricked free throws:

Blatche couldn't believe he was bricking the shots, although he did end up sinking one at the end of the game to prevent the Verizon crowd from winning a free chicken sandwich.  He finished with 5 points on 2-9 from the field and 1-6 from the free throw line.

Kevin Seraphin enjoyed it...

John Wall Not Getting Crossed Up By Raymond Felton

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Wednesday, February 6, 2013

In the 2nd quarter of the Washington Wizards vs New York Knicks matchup on Wednesday night, Ray Felton came down the court and appeared to cross up John Wall, causing Wall to fall to the ground.  The crowd ooooohed and the Knicks bench went crazy as Felton drained the jumper with Wall trying to pick himself up off the floor.

On second look it appeared that Tyson Chandler stuck his foot out and Wall stepped on it, and that was what caused him to fall.  But the play looked bad for Wall:

John Wall Falls, John Wall Returns, John Wall Loses

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Friday, February 1, 2013

The Memphis Grizzlies and new player Tayshaun Prince defeated the Washington Wizards on Friday night in Memphis.  John Wall left the game with an injury scare but returned to action.

Late in the first half, John Wall went up for a layup and seemed to hit his shoulder on another player.  He landed on his feet, arm limp, and he grabbed his arm as he fell to the ground in serious pain.  Wall's teeth were grinding and his feet were spazzing out.  It looked bad.  He was escorted to the locker room where initial reports are "sprained shoulder".

But Wall came back out after the half and returned to the game, looking to be fine.  Although late in the 4th quarter with the Wizards starting to collapse, Wall remained on the bench until the final 3 minutes, after the game was basically over.

Prince finished with 14 points for the Griz including hitting some backbreaking shots in the 4th quarter to help put away the Wizards.

The Wizards offense was non-existant and with John Wall unable to score on his own, the Wizards didn't really have an identity.  Okafor ended up taking (and bricking) shots in the clutch moments and the Wizards were having trouble getting decent shots the whole game.

Nene was the only Wizards player to finish in double figures, scoring 14 points.  Other than that, there isn't much to say.  The team has 0 depth and when one of their players goes down the entire team collapses and some of the bad body language started to show up again.

Next up for the Wiz tomorrow night against the Spurs...not good...

Jordan Crawford Jordan Crawfords

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Here is another reason why Jordan Crawford should be no part of the future plans for the Washington Wizards.  Earlier in the game he was mad his teammates didn't pass him the ball so he jacked up a bad shot.  And later, this happened:

Crawford is double teamed with the shot clock running down but believes that this is his cue to somehow break the trap instead of passing.  He then takes a diving 3 pointer.  Just watch:

Jordan, when you are doubled, then someone is open...

Martell Webster's Whip & Skip On The 4 Point Play

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Tuesday, January 29, 2013

Martell Webster, the 4 point play master, drained another 3 pointer with the foul on Monday night against the Kings.  After he sunk the shot, Webster celebrated with a little whip & skip move.

Bradley Beal Belly Flops On Floor, Gets Up Fine

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Friday, January 18, 2013

I thought that Beal was dead after this attempted layup gone wrong.  A Denver Nuggets player fouls the airborn Bradley Beal who falls parallel to the ground from a few feet in the air, landing directly on his stomach flat like a belly flop.  It looked terrible, but Beal stayed in the game and hit the foul shots.

He still looked shaken up while playing so hopefully nothing gets more sore overnight.

Martell Webster Posterizes Demarcus Cousins

Ted Leonsis Slaps Trevor Ariza On Backside After Basket

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Monday, January 14, 2013

The Wizards were dominating the Orlando Magic in the first half on Monday night and nobody was happier than Ted Leonsis.  The Washington owner (Ted is the second blur from the right), and someone next to him, slapped Trevor Ariza on the ass after he knocked down a jumper.

Here is a poor quality GIF of the scene because people seemed interested:

Magic Player Jumps OVER John Wall Then Wall Crosses Him Up

Written By Chris C-Ford ----

Here's something you don't see every day!  It's Ish Smith of the Orlando Magic jumping completely over the Washington Wizards John Wall as he ducks under and between his legs.  Ish Smith missed the block on the jump, yet bounces right back up after he lands to block Wall.

Later in the game Wall returns the favor with a crossover move that sends Ish Smith crashing to the floor.  Both GIFs below:

Jordan Crawford Does The Most Jordan Crawford Thing Ever

Written By Chris C-Ford ---- Wednesday, January 2, 2013

Here is Jordan Crawford shooting a wacky airball on an 8 foot "shot", catching the ball in the air, and scoring the basket on the self-alleyoop in Wednesday night's game against the Indiana Pacers.  You have to watch it below.  It was the most Jordan Crawford play ever.  Mostly because it was an airball travelling and didn't count.  Pure Steez.

Steve Buckhantz has a wonderful reaction to the play.

Steve Buckhantz:  "If anyone is allowed to do that it is Jordan Crawford"

Phil Chenier (actually puzzled): "Why is that"

Steve Buckhantz: "Because he is a circus player and he made another circus shot"

Later in the game, Buck repeated that the refs "took away a basket" from Crawford...lol.

Here is a GIF of the play:

Pacer Misses Dunk Badly, Crashes To Floor

Written By Chris C-Ford ----

Here is, shockingly, not the Washington Wizards missing a dunk attempt and falling on the ground!  It is Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers, and he may have been pushed a bit.  He gets rejected by the rim and almost hurts himself:  GIF:
